Louis Vuitton, Lacoste coming to Towson Town Center

Baltimore Business Journal - by Ryan Sharrow Staff

High-end retailer Louis Vuitton will open its first Greater Baltimore location next summer in Towson Town Center.

The announcement came Thursday as Towson Town officials celebrated the opening of the shopping mall’s new 110,000-square-foot luxury wing.

Mall officials also said on Wednesday Lacoste would open a 1,400-square-foot store inside the luxury wing this summer.

Louis Vuitton’s 3,900-square-foot store will join other high-end retailers, such as Burberry, which opened its doors at the mall on Thursday.

“The demographics of Towson have changed over the years and General Growth Properties is keeping up with those changes by bringing new merchants to the center and opening this luxury wing,” said Chuck Crerand, general manager of Towson Town Center, in a statement.

Towson Town is owned by Chicago-based General Growth (NYSE: GGP).

Since the mall’s redevelopment efforts began in 2006, 30 new retailers and restaurants have signed leases to come on board.

They include Crate & Barrel, P.F. Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Sephora, H&M, Lucky Brand and the Pottery Barn.

The Baltimore County mall is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy’s.
