Colonial stock rebounds Friday, other banks' mixed

Alabama bank stocks were mixed during Friday's trading session on Wall Street.
Colonial BancGroup Inc.’s share prices plummeted more than 12 percent to 59 cents in morning trading, then rebounded to 69 cents near close Friday. It closed Thursday at 68 cents.
Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE:RF), the largest bank in Alabama, saw a 3 percent drop in its share prices to $3.84, compared with $3.96 at close the previous day.
BBVA Compass’ parent company, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (NYSE:BBV), experienced a slight decline to $12.32. It closed at $12.33 on Thursday.
