Goodrich wins Bombardier contract

Charlotte Business Journal

Goodrich Corp. has been awarded a contract to supply its SmartProbe air-data system on Bombardier Inc.’s Learjet 85 midsize business jet.

The system will provide air-data information for the flight-control-and cockpit-display systems.

“Selection of our SmartProbe system, a first at Learjet, broadens our business opportunities with Bombardier and strengthens our market leadership in air-data systems for next-generation aircraft,” says Jan Mathiesen, vice president of Goodrich sensors and integrated systems.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.

Charlotte-based Goodrich (NYSE:GR) is a global supplier of systems and services to the aerospace and defense industries.

Bombardier, based in Montreal, manufactures business jets, regional aircraft, rail transportation equipment and motorized recreational products.
