CATS alters Friday schedule

On Friday, the Charlotte Area Transportation System will operate on a Sunday schedule for local bus routes and a reduced express-bus schedule for customers who work uptown.
“Many businesses are closed on Friday,” says Larry Kopf, CATS chief operations planning officer. “However, for the commuters who do need to get to work on July 3, CATS wants to ensure they have accessibility and convenience to transit.”
Routes 81X Wachovia Express Shuttle and 44 Fort Mill will operate on Friday.
CATS will operate its weekend bus schedule as usual. No express bus service will operate on Saturday or Sunday.
The light rail system will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday. Its weekend service will operate as usual.
