All-access passes for the 2008 Idea Festival went on sale yesterday.

The festival, which began in 2000, is a convention that brings together a diverse cross section of thinkers from the science, arts, design, business, film, technology and education fields.

This year's festival will be held Sept. 25 to 27 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville.

All-access passes can be purchased for $298 before July 15. After that, they are $350.

Speakers at this year's Idea Festival will include crossword puzzle creator Will Shortz, illusionist Teller (half of the Penn and Teller duo), inventor Scott Jones, Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, Princeton University astrophysicist J. Richard Gott and author and economics analyst Amy Chua.
