Governor Rendell Announces Dual Enrollment Grant Recipients for 2008-09 School Year

Three-Fourths of PA High Schools Will Offer Students the Opportunity to Earn College Credit, Increase Academic Rigor

HARRISBURG, Pa., July 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tens of thousands of students across Pennsylvania will be able to earn high school and college credits simultaneously during the 2008-09 school year with the help of a $10 million investment in "Dual Enrollment," Governor Edward G. Rendell said today.

"Targeted investments in programs like Dual Enrollment are giving our students a competitive edge by exposing them to rigorous, college-level courses while they are still in high school," Governor Rendell said.
