PHEAA selects new chairman

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency said state Rep. William F. Adolph Jr. has been elected chairman of its board.
Adolph, a Republican whose district is in Delaware County in the Philadelphia suburbs, has been on the board since 2001.
He replaces former state Rep. Elinor Z. Taylor, a Republican from Chester County, as chairman. The chairman of the board is often a Pennsylvania state legislator.
PHEAA, which is based in Harrisburg,Pa., makes, administers and guarantees student loans and provides other college loan and aid services. Outside Pennsylvania, it is known as American Education Services.
