CCAC adopts budget, raises tuition

Pittsburgh Business Times

The Community College of Allegheny County's Board of Trustees has adopted a new budget that calls for a 4 percent tuition increase, effective July 1.

The cost-per-credit for in-state students will go from $82 per credit to $85.25 per credit. The college projects that increase will generate about $1.36 million.

The operating budget of $95.5 million reflects a 1.5 percent increase over the current year's budget. Also approved was a $32 million capital outlay budget. Among the projects included in the budget is a $17.4 million science center, which will be mainly funded through a bond issue.

Community College of Allegheny County has its main campus on Pittsburgh's North Side.
