Allegheny General COO takes job in Texas

Allegheny General Hospital's COO has resigned to accept a new position as president and CEO of Good Shepherd Health System in Longview Texas, the hospital announced Friday.
Edward Banos will continue in his role at Pittsburgh-based Allegheny General until June 10. He has been the hospital's COO for two and a half years.
"The Good Shepherd position is an outstanding opportunity for a health care executive of Mr. Banos' caliber," Connie Cibrone, Allegheny General's president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.
Good Shepherd consists of three hospitals in east Texas with a combined 515 beds and several health clinics.
