Lorraine Auerbach named CEO at Daly City’s Seton Medical Center

Lorraine Auerbach, who had been interim president and CEO at Daly City’s Seton Medical Center since early June, has been appointed permanent president and CEO, officials said Monday.
The move was approved by the 256-bed medical center’s board, its search committee and the board of the Los Altos Hills-based Daughters of Charity Health System, officials said Dec. 1. Auerbach also heads Seton Coastside, in Moss Beach.
She was originally hired in June, after longtime president and CEO Bernadette Smith resigned for unexplained personal reasons, according to the hospital.
Prior to joining the Daughters of Charity system, Auerbach was president of 175-bed Century City Doctors Hospital, a UCLA Medical Center-affiliate.
The Daughters of Charity system includes six hospitals, Seton, Seton Coastside, San Jose’s O’Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, Los Angeles’ St. Vincent Medical Center, and Lynwood’s St. Francis Medical Center.
