Rehm elected president of St. John's Mercy Medical Center medical staff

Dr. Charles Rehm will begin a two-year term July 1 as president of the medical staff at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, the hospital said Thursday. Rehm, a board-certified internal medicine physician, was elected to the post by the medical staff.
As president, he will preside over all quarterly medical-staff meetings as well as monthly medical executive committee meetings.
Rehm will be a member of the medical center's board, representing the medical staff; is a member of all medical staff committees; and, along with the vice president of medical affairs, oversees the quality of care provided by medical staff physicians.
Rehm obtained his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed his residency at St. John's Mercy, serving as chief resident.
St. John's Mercy Medical Center, a member of St. John's Mercy Health Care and the Sisters of Mercy Health System, is a 979-bed comprehensive teaching hospital.
