J.D. Power awards St. John's for maternity care

J.D. Power and Associates named St. John's Mercy Medical Center a distinguished hospital Tuesday.

Recent maternity patients raved about their care in a survey, prompting the award, which was slated to be given in a trophy ceremony at the Creve Coeur hospital Tuesday afternoon.

St. John's is the first hospital in the state to by the J.D. Power and Associates' Distinguished Hospital program.

St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo., is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, St. Louis region.
