Lamar Roberts joins First National of Central Florida

J. Lamar Roberts was named president of First National Bank of Central Florida.

Roberts previously was president of First National Bank of Pasco for 17 years. Robert Sumner recently was named president and chief executive of First National Bank of Pasco.

Roberts is a former president of the Florida Bankers Association. He also has served as chairman of Independent Bankers Bank of Florida and chairman of the Florida Banker’s Insurance Trust.

Roberts’ appointment as president of First National Bank of Central Florida is pending regulatory approval, the bank said in a release. Darwin Kelly, who has been president and chief operating officer, will take the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer during Roberts’ tenure, the release said.

First National Bank of Central Florida, headquartered in Winter Park, and has six offices in Orange and Seminole counties. The bank, established in 1985, had $537.5 million in assets as of March 31.
