New Port Richey Wal-Mart grows electronics area with remodel

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. remodeled a New Port Richey store with what it calls its “next generation of store design and customer experience.”
The store has an expanded electronics department. Its new layout has wider aisles, low-profile shelving that creates an improved sightline, bright interior colors and enhanced lighting, a release said.
The store, located at 8745 State Road 54, recruited 70 temporary associates to assist with the remodel, which began in April.
Store associates who have worked store for more than 20 years will officially re-open the store on July 8 after an invocation led by Pastor Greg Johnson of Generations Christian Church.
Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT), headquartered in Bentonville, Ark., has more than 2.1 million associates worldwide.
