‘Deadliest Catch’ captains partner with Tampa Bay firms for bloody mary mix line

Reality show fishing boat captains Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand have selected Trinity Design Group, the design of arm Trinity Graphic USA Inc., a Sarasota packaging prepress firm, to create labels for their line of bloody mary mix.

The celebrity captains, who head up Time Bandit, one of the fishing boats featured on Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch,” attended the printing of the first 35,000 labels July 6 at Sarasota Labels and Packaging.

Hot Wachula’s Inc. in Lakeland will handle production and packaging.

The Capt. John’s Bloody Mary Mix labels feature a rendering of the captains, the Time Bandit at sea and the catchphrase “Slippery when wet.”

Trinity is also designing corrugated packages for the Hillstrands, said Chief Executive Officer Robert Smithson in a release.

“This and many other food and beverage products they are producing will keep us busy,” Smithson said.

Financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

“We have made many friends in the area and consider it our second home, and wouldn't consider anywhere else in the country to start our new venture,” said Johnathan Hillstrand in a release.
