Blattner Brunner buys Atlanta ad firm

Washington Business Journal - by Jennifer Nycz-Conner Staff Writer

Blattner Brunner has expanded into the Southeast. With offices in Washington and Pittsburgh, the ad agency has acquired creative shop Sawyer Riley Compton.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

D.C.-based Blattner Brunner president and CEO Michael Brunner cites Atlanta-based SRC's complementary philosophy as a leading factor in the acquisition. "We want to be known for re-energizing some of America's best brands," Brunner says in a statement. "The cultures of our two firms are extraordinarily compatible."

Brunner goes on to say that no staff changes are anticipated, and that three offices will operate as one profit center. The Georgia office will operate as Blatter Brunner/SRC for one year, after which it will assume the Blattner Brunner name.
